Coach Lori ‘Lo’ Locust Granted Coaching Apprenticeship With Ravens

Allentown, PA: The Steelhawks are excited to share that Coach Lori ‘Lo’ Locust will be working with the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL this summer as one of two women to receive a Coaching Apprenticeship. Coach Lo has worked with the Steelhawks Defensive Line and Special Teams the last two seasons.

Coach Lo currently serves as the Steelhawks Defensive Assistant, Defensive Lineman/Linebackers Coach and Co-Special Teams Coordinator. Soon she will be learning and working with the Ravens defensive coaches. She will be with the Ravens during training camp and stay through the first three preseason games (July 18-Aug. 21).

Locust has been coaching football for 13 years, including at the high school, semi-pro and arena levels.

“Everyone that has ever played or Coached this great sport has dreamed to one day get their opportunity in the NFL,” stated Steelhawks General Manager Mike Clark. “We are thrilled for Coach Lo to get this chance. She is a hard worker, with a passion to develop young athletes. This is a tremendous learning opportunity for her. The great thing about Coach Lo is that she has never wanted to be looked at as a Woman Coach, but rather a COACH first that just so happens to be a woman. She has accomplished that, and is being rewarded for her ability in this game. We couldn’t be more proud.”

Single game tickets and flex pans are on sale now for as low as $24. Call 610-224-4625 to reserve your seats! All Steelhawks games are played on Embassy Bank Field inside the PPL Center.
