2nd Team All-NAL Fullback Ready to Run in the Valley

Allentown, PA:  The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks of the National Arena League announced their first free agent player signing of the 2018 season this morning with the addition of Fullback Undra “Wrecking Ball” Hendrix.  The 5’11”, 280 pound offensive force was a member of the High Country Grizzlies in 2017, and earned Second Team All-NAL during the season, amassing 298 yards on the ground (2nd in NAL) on 85 carries to go along with 12 rushing touchdowns (2nd in NAL).  Also a former member of the Tampa Bay Storm of the Arena Football League, Hendrix has been a featured part of any offensive unit he has been a part of, and figures to be a large part of the Steelhawks as well on Embassy Bank Field inside the PPL Center.

Steelhawks Head Coach Chris Thompson is thrilled to be adding “Wrecking Ball” to his game plan in 2018.  “This is a very exciting day for us and our fans.  Signing a guy like Undra, who not only was named 2nd team All-NAL a year ago, but knowing what he can bring to the table at fullback for us in our offense is very exciting.  Undra can do it all and we expect to utilize him fully in our offensive scheme for the upcoming 2018 season.   I can’t wait for the season to get here has our awesome fan base will love to get to know the “Wrecking Ball” this season as we are off and running building our 2018 team.”

A flurry of additional exciting player announcements and team news will be made in the coming days while the Steelhawks are also preparing for their First Open Tryout for the 2018 season this coming Saturday from 9am to 1pm (Registration at 8am) inside The Rink (3323 7th Street) in Whitehall, Pennsylvania.  Registration is $50 for those who sign up in advance, and $65 at the door the day of.

Deposits on Steelhawks 2018 season tickets can be made now!  All Steelhawks games are played on Embassy Bank Field inside the PPL Center.
