More Talent Coming to the Valley

Allentown, PA:  The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks are excited to announce that their training camp roster has become more competitive with the addition of veteran DB Dom Joseph (6’1, 195, University of Virginia) and rookie OL Curtis Nealer (6’4, 320, University of New Hampshire).

Joseph adds experience to the defensive backfield. He played in the IFL last season with Wichita Falls and in the PIFL with the Trenton Freedom in 2015. Joseph was a leader and defensive standout in Trenton and will be looked upon to help lead the young defensive backs in the Valley.

Nealer brings more size to the ’Hawks contingent of offensive linemen. As a senior at the University of New Hampshire, he was one of two offensive linemen to start every game.

Head Coach Chris Thompson is looking forward to what these players bring to the table, “Adding Dom and Curtis this close to the start of our 2017 season and camp is very exciting. Dom has started and played in more than 30 games the last couple of seasons in the IFL and PIFL with Trenton and Wichita Falls respectively. Curtis is a young up and coming rookie OL who just finished up his collegiate ball at University of New Hampshire and is on the radar of a number of higher professional teams. These are two more great additions for our 2017 Steelhawks and looking forward to working with both of them."

Training camp begins Sunday, February 26th for the Steelhawks. It will wrap up with the Annual Lehigh Valley Health Network Black and Vegas Gold Scrimmage on Saturday, March 11th. A full camp schedule will be announced at a later date.

Individual Steelhawks game tickets are now on sale, while Steelhawks’ 2017 season tickets are also still available with packages starting as low as $48! All Steelhawks’ games are played on Embassy Bank Field inside the PPL Center in Allentown.
